Ethan had dinner a his friend Steve's house. Steve and his family are from China (Steve isn't his "real" name, but he says it is too hard to pronounce so that is what people call him.)
Ethan is my will try anything kid who loves Chinese food... you know, Americanized Chinese food. He found out today that he doesn't like seaweed and thick noodles. He wants to try the noodles again (with a different sauce) so we are going to try this recipe.
Of course, he tried everything and finished what was on his plate. When they asked him if we wanted more he said "No thank you. Everything was great, but I had a big lunch." Such a polite kid.
They were very impressed with his chopstick skills, even asking where he learned to us them so well. He didn't tell him about his chopstick phase, where we had to buy them for him because he ate every meal with chopsticks instead of a fork. Nope, he lied and said "Buffet King!"
We ended up having our elderly neighbor down for dinner. It was stinking cold today, so I made chili and cornbread. Not nearly as exciting as what Ethan had.
